Britney Spears is officially engaged to long-time boyfriend Jason Trawick, and she showed off her stunning engagement ring at a party on the weekend!
The pair had double the reason to celebrate on the weekend — it was also Jason’s birthday!
They stepped out together at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, as well as the Sugar Factory American Brasserie and Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas.
Britney tweeted afterwards, “Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiance and our closest friends and family. #Blessed”
Britney’s ring features a round diamond, and according to People magazine was designed by celebrity jeweller Neil Lane.
“Jason is a romantic, and when I asked him to tell me about Britney and what the ring would represent to them so I could find inspiration, his response was always the same – she is his princess,” Neil said.
Neil designed a tiara-motif ring with a round-shaped white diamond in a handmade platinum setting. He added 90 small round diamonds around the eternity band so that it “looks like a mini crown.”
And Jason was very involved in the design process, and was heavily involved while travelling the world on Britney’s tour.
“Texts came from all over the world – from Abu Dhabi, Mexico and I don’t know where else,” Lane said.
And Jason was thrilled with the final result.
“Oh my god, he loved it,” Neil said. “The guy was so excited and nervous. At the end of the day, even with all the fame, he’s still a normal guy who was about to propose to the woman he loves.”
Jason is Britney’s former agent. They have been dating since 2009. Jason appears with Britney in her ‘Criminal’ music video.
